உத்திரபிரதேசம் கோரக்பூர் பாராளுமன்ற தொகுதி யோகி ஆதித்யநாத்தின் கோட்டை என்று சொல்லலாம். ஐந்து முறை அங்கு அவர் போட்டியிட்டு வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளார் . உத்திர பிரதேச மாநில முதலமைச்சராக அவர் பொறுப்பேற்றதால் காலியான அத்தொகுதிக்கு நடைபெற்ற இடைத்தேர்தலில் பா.ஜ.க. படுதோல்வி அடைந்துள்ளது. கோரக்பூருடன் இடைத்தேர்தல் நடைபெற்ற புல்பூர் தொகுதியிலும் பா.ஜ.க.படு தோல்வியடைந்துள்ளது. புதிதாக உருவாகியுள்ள சமாஜ்வாடி – பகுஜன் சமாஜ் கட்சிகளின் வலுவான கூட்டணியே இதற்கு பெரும் காரணமாகும். வரும் 2019 பாராளுமன்ற தேர்தலிலும் இக்கூட்டணி தொடருமானால் அது பா.ஜ.க.வுக்கு சங்கு ஊதுவதாக அமையும்.
